For everyone who was wondering where Winter was...well, she's here. And with a big ol' slap in the face! Maybe it was my optimism that had me hanging on and hoping we could get through to Spring *wishful thinking* but nonetheless it's nothing we haven't endured before. The minute the cold starts to set in my mind is racing off to tropical vacations and some of my favorite warmer places. Naturally, Cali comes up. Traveling seems to be a popular goal for everyone this year and with good . . .
The combination of the sun and beach leaves little desire to get dressed up since you're spending most of your day in a bathing suit. Which means one thing-I definitely overpacked. I didn't realize how much time we would be spending in the water (beach, Kayaking, Jet skiing, etc). One of the nights, we went to dinner at Yarnbird Southern Table & Bar which was so mouth-watering. We ordered the fried chicken (perfectly tender, but crispy), Mac & Cheese (a tasty blend of five cheese with . . .
There's something about traveling that makes me feel so chic. Not that there's anything chic about the long security check-in lines or the crowded planes, but I definitely love the feeling of getting ready to get on a plane and go somewhere. Since we were going to Miami I wanted to wear something bright and summery. What's better than all white? Well, mostly white. I wore my high-waisted skinny jeans and paired it with a white loose skull printed tank top from H&M. I wanted to make sure that . . .
San Diego is beautiful and relaxing. You get the best of both worlds! I had this white chiffon skirt that I had never worn and felt like this was the perfect day to wear it. We were heading for lunch in the city so I decided to pair it with a chambray top for a little edge. I wanted a pop of color so I paired it with this clutch which held everything I needed (debit card & lipstick-a girl's essentials, right?). I added my favorite spiked bracelet from Forever 21 for an extra hint of edgy. . . .
Santa Monica is definitely one of my favorite places. It makes California feel like what you imagined it to be after watching Baywatch or 90210 (oh the memories). There are tons of people, street perfumers, and rides (after all, it is a tourist attraction). The atmosphere is so lively! I love styling black and white stripes with solid colors. I feel like it makes such a bold statement, which is exactly what I did on our day trip to Santa Monica. I'm usually not a fan of peplum . . .
