A Day in the Life + Giveaway Winner!

Have you ever been at home and all of a sudden you got a call and you needed to head out? Whether it be for a meeting, lunch with the girls, or just an emergency? Although I do get to work from home (which means no dress code) I still love to get dressed up and start my day around 8:30/9 am. This is a typical day in the life *haha*

My favorite type of outfit is one that I can be comfortable in at home and still look put together when I need to go out. For obvious reasons-no one wants to have to look for an outfit when they’re in a rush to head out. Therefore my go-to look consists of oversized sweaters. I absolutely love them because they are nice and cozy, yet very chic. It’s the best of both worlds. Want a quick way to spice them up? Throw on your favorite ripped jeans!

My day usually begins with checking email and drinking coffee. It’s the best way for me to mentally prepare for the day ahead and give myself some time to fully wake up. And a little online shopping never hurt anyone either. Usually, I spend the rest of the day blogging, styling outfits, testing out new products and recording/editing. I definitely need some breaks in between of all of that because the computer definitely causes a strain on your eyes so I love just lounging on the couch for a quick fifteen minute break. And possibly having another cup of joe.

I’ll usually opt for either hair or makeup because a full glam look isn’t necessary. Hence the top knot. The days that I do wear makeup it’s usually just to test out different products and also improve on certain techniques (check out my winged eyeliner, ey) other than that I like to keep it simple and let my outfit do the talking. This look is a staple of mine because all I have to do is throw on some heels and walk out.

Oh, and can we check out my new hand wrap from Wren & Glory? I am so in love! I don’t have anything like it which is another reason why I’m obsessed with it. It definitely adds a touch of edge to this look in a very subtle way.
