There’s nothing better than celebrating your birthday than with friends, good food, and unlimited bellinis. Amiright?
And that’s exactly what I did! But first-let me tell you about my birthday preparation *laughs* Yes, I have to prepare myself.
I spent Friday afternoon pampering myself and it was ah-mazing! I haven’t done it in so long so it actually felt like a real treat. I started by getting my eyebrows done at the Benefit Brow Bar at Ulta in Lake Grove. This has become my annual tradition for the past couple of years because I love (and I mean it) love the way Elena does my brows. She listens to me and that’s SO important to me. There’s nothing that I dislike more than growing my eyebrows out and then having them waxed off. Yea, we’ve all been there. What about all of my hard work?
Now you can’t pamper yourself without a good mani and pedi. And let me tell you about this pedicure-girrllll-it was the most relaxing thing, EVER. It’s a regular pedicure but the massage is followed by hot stones and little warm booties. Can you tell I was excited? It was pretty much heaven.
That night, Garry and I headed to the Big Apple for some relaxation time. This time we stayed at the Westin New York at Times Square and it was absolutely beautiful. We stayed on the 36th floor and that view was…breathtaking. It’s definitely a must if you’re in the area. Trust me. Capping the night off with some wine and strawberries wasn’t so bad either *wink*
Brunching has become the “it” thing to do nowadays. So how could I resist? We made a reservation at PS 450 for us and 13 of my friends. It was my first time there, but I was very pleased with my experience. I’m very big on places have an all-round experience for their customers. We had delicious food (you NEED to try the s’mores french toast–ohemgee!) and yummy bellinis and mimosas. Did I mention they were unlimited?
I wanted to wear something that was soft and feminine, but still sexy. How’d I do? I ordered from MissGuided for the first time so I was a bit nervous how everything would fit, but I instantly fell in love with these pieces once I put them on. They actually have a huge sale going on right now!
This white faux leather skirt is a great staple in any wardrobe. You can wear it with crop tops, t-shirts, blouses-basically anything. Plus, it’s a neutral color so you can wear it all year round, which is big win-win. The nude crop top is extremely comfortable and I love how it fits. It almost feels like you’re not wearing anything *blushing emoji*
I told you I was obsessed with this duster coat from Forever 21! I didn’t plan on wearing it the whole time but it was a bit chilly inside so I kept it on. I love how it adds that extra bit of chicness to the whole look! Oh, and my new shoes! How could I forget those?! They’re Vince Camuto and I spotted them at Macy’s and HAD to have them. Doesn’t everyone buy themselves birthday presents? I knew they would compliment the look and they did-very well at that.
Now that I talked your ear off (sorry!) let me know what you think! I would love to know some of your own birthday traditions and any ideas for birthday celebrations. I’m thinking of going away somewhere tropical next year? Hmm..we’ll see!
