Black Lace Dress & Thank You!

Can it really be 2016 already?!

Before I get all mushy gushy on you (sorry!) I wanted to apologize for being MIA for the past two weeks. Usually when that happens I’m still communicating via IG or Snapchat but that wasn’t the case this time. Two weeks ago I received a text from my best friend saying that her brother, Louie aka Staff Sergeant Louis “Bones” Bonacasa, died in Afghanistan and it broke my heart. We received some more devastating news that my great Aunt Marina passed away on Christmas Eve which was followed by giving away Scruff on Christmas morning. We wanted him to have a more balanced life since there is so much change going on in our lives right now and we were able to find a very loving family. You can say it’s been a whirl wind of emotions and I’m not too good about expressing my feelings.

But with all bad comes good and I’m more than blessed that we were able to spend time with my family in Georgia. We actually drove down on Christmas Eve and surprised my nephews & niece and I wouldn’t trade that moment for anything. With everything going on it made me realize how special life is and how important it is to spend time with our loved ones.

With that being said, I wanted to say thank you for all of your continued support. 2015 was nothing short of amazing because I really got to step outside of my comfort zone and grow as a person because of YOU! Sure, there were a lot of low points in my life but they made me stronger and I love the woman I continue to grow into each day because I haven’t given up.
