Cheetah Girl: Fall Edition

The chill I feel when I wake up along with the fact that I turned on my seat warmer this morning, indicates only one thing-fall is here!

It’s time to break out the tights, maxi skirts, cozy sweaters and my all time favorite…boots!

I didn’t care for fall when I was younger, but as I grow and become wiser (no, not older!) my style has evolved. I actually enjoy fall fashion tremendously. It’s very versatile and the best part about it is layering. Layering can help you style one outfit a ton of ways with just incorporating a few other pieces all the while keeping you warm. It’s definitely a no-brainer!

I decided to go for a edgy & chic look this past saturday. It was a beautiful day, but it was just a tad below t-shirt only weather. We did a lot of errands (grocery shopping, dropping off laundry, etc) so I wanted to make sure I was comfortable. My combat boots were a great fit and I dressed them up with this high-low skirt. We were going to dinner in the city (S’Mac to be exact) and I wanted to still feel girly so I figured-why not combine the two?!

Accessories were also a huge part of tying in the outfit. I went for gold chunky jewelry (men’s inspired watch & spiky gold bracelet) to give the edgy effect and softened the look with this cream colored clutch from Aldo. I think that gold outlining on the clutch give its the perfect touch to both elements!

The cheetah print on the skirt also added to the edgy & chic element. I’m a huge fan of sheer-anything. I think it makes everything flirty and fun so when I saw this skirt I knew I had to have it. Since it was a bit breezy for just a tank top I threw on this light cardigan from H&M and paired it with some opaque tights. No jacket needed! I was extremely comfortable and dinner was delicious (win-win!).
