This past weekend I was browsing through my summer wardrobe to see what I had and needed to update.
Nonetheless, I found an overwhelming amount of similar shirts; crop tops. And here I was complaining that I had nothing to wear. It dawned on me that A. I’m dramatic and B. I limited myself by only wearing them with certain bottoms. I can’t show my stomach-it’s not flat enough. For one odd reason or another I said eff it.
Maybe it’s the age-or the attitude that comes with the age-but I’m learning to do things that make ME happy. I stepped (WAY) out of my comfort zone and paired this bell-sleeved crop top with my current favorite boyfriend jeans and new pumps. I felt GOOD. Sure, I don’t have the abs I want yet but it’s a work in progress and I refuse to let that limit me from doing the things I want. Is it weird that we’re talking about clothes here?
Size tip: In the jeans, I recommend going a size down since they are very stretchy and get loose. I’m wearing a size 6.
I wanted to share this with you because I feel that sometimes we limit ourselves regarding our wardrobe because what have let the media dictate what is beautiful or what you can or cannot wear for your body type. While I love sharing my own tips it’s never meant to be taken so literal. Have fun with your body and how you dress. After all, it’s just clothes and they come off anyway *wink*
Stay positive and confident!
