Holiday Party Outfit Inspiration

Happy Cyber Monday Dolls! I must say this is my favorite Monday of the year *winks* there are no Monday blues on this day! And the best part? You do it all online, so there is no waiting or hassling with crowded malls. I used to not be a fan of online shopping because I like instant gratification, but I’ve grown to appreciate the ease of online shopping plus the surprise every time the mailman shows up! How was everyone’s Thanksgiving? I hope it went well and you got to eat lots of turkey, I know I did! I got to spend the holiday with my parents and it was the perfect day because we just talked, sat around, and then ate…a lot. Oh and there was nap time. You can’t not have nap time on Turkey Day. It’s nice to have those quiet holidays here and there because it allows you to just enjoy the moment with your loved ones instead of running around.

Now let’s get into the outfit! I completely fell in love with this look for the holiday season! It’s perfect for any holiday party if you want to give that fierce look while still looking feminine and chic. Cape coats are a big hit this winter and I actually scored this beauty two seasons ago at JCPenney’s end of season clearance sale. I think I got it for around $10! Talk about a steal!!

The thing that works about this outfit is how the colors compliment one another. Camel brown is a very popular color this season as well and it pairs great with a variety of colors/shades. It’s important to incorporate it into some of your classic pieces in your wardrobe. You’ll be able to mix and match with pieces you already have to create a brand new look. Essentially, allowing you to save money instead of spending it on a new look for the holiday season.

The bow on the polka dot button up also gives it a very festive feel so it’s a no brainer for the holidays. Add some cat-eye sunnies, gold midi-rings and a top knot and *BAM*-you’re ready for a night of coquito and dancing!

It’s officially December, so it’s time to get ready to close this year out! I’ve been working on getting ready for 2015 by doing some deep cleaning, organizing, and redecorating.
