The Feast of San Gennaro is one of my favorite times of the year. Mulberry street gets filled with tons of food trucks from the surrounding restaurants (delicious italian food) and as a bonus you have tons of vendors as well.
Yes, I am colombian and trust me-there’s nothing I love more than some platanos with frijoles or stuffed arepas. BUT, I have a huge soft spot for italian food (I mean, how could you not?).
It was a lazy sunday, so I wanted to be comfortable since we would be walking around Little Italy drinking wine and eating A LOT. I still wanted to look chic so I paired black leggings with a spiked embellished sweater that I got from H&M a few months ago.
The sweater was very loose and not form fitting, which normally I would add a skinny belt, but it wasn’t the look I was going for. The combat boots added some “toughness” to the look, which balanced out the with the spikes on the sweater. I kept my accessories simple and added a pair of studs and a silver spiked bracelet to go with my look.

Aside from my sweater, my sunglasses were another main focus. These cat eye D&G sunglasses are beautiful and by far are my favorite pair! They have lace trimming on the side and the special part about them-no pair are identical because of the lace trimming! They are classic with a red lip, which tied in the whole outfit. Russian red is definitely a favorite of mine for the fall because it’s matte with a deep hue.

The festival ran from September 12th-22nd (a little late…sorry!) but I wasn’t able to make it until the last day and boy was I glad I did! I had gone last year and became obsessed with the “fuggedoboutit” from Parm, which is ah-mazing! It’s a pork sausage on top of a steamed bun with a special sauce, which makes it completely m o u t h w a t e r i n g.
The downside-you can only find it once a year during the festival.
Make sure to check out the festival next year if you are in New York! It will be worth it!
