As an avid pinaholic (yes, that’s a thing) I find myself constantly lusting over different hairstyles. For me, my hair has always been my security blanket. Why? Well let’s take it back. It all started in 5th grade when my best friend, Gabriela, and I decided to get hair cuts in 5th grade. Christina Aguilera was killing it with “Genie in a bottle” in 1999 and that bob was everything. Accompanied with a zig zag part, of course.
Gabriela and I had pretty long hair. I remember everyone used to call her Pocahontas and I wasn’t too far behind with mine reaching the middle of my back. Clearly it would be a big change for the both of us, but we felt pretty good about our decision. Or so I thought. I got my hair cut that day and immediately h a t e d it. You know the odd transition stage as a child? Yea well, I was right smack in it. Plus, I was always a bit thicker and my face was more rounder. So you can imagine what I looked like. And you can imagine my surprise when I came into school and Gabriela did not have her hair cut -yes, we’re still best friends.
Needless to say…I never cut my hair since. Sure I got trims when needed but that was far as those scissors were going. Now years later, I still find myself lusting over short hair. And with good reason. It seems everyone is falling into the long bob (aka lob) trend and I can’t help but want to, too. So I figured I would share some of my inspiration, check it out!

Lauren Conrad was the quite the subject when it came to cutting her infamous blonde locks. Whether long or short she’s always giving me some hair inspiration.

I’m not sure who she is, but I love this look on her! It looks so effortless and flatters her face shape. She’s has that “no makeup, makeup look” on point and I am loving it!

She’s another one that I ran across Pinterest and fell in love with. Clearly, I’m obsessed with the tousled hair style.

And how could I not mention my girl, Kim? Whether you love her or hate her you can’t deny her. I’m utterly obsessed with this look on her because it gives her some extra oomph since it’s different from her normal long hair. Ugh, how could you resist this hair trend? Yes, I am aware that it’s just hair and it will grow back but it still terrifies me!
What do you guys think? Should I take the plunge and just do it?
