There’s nothing worse than being in a food coma and being uncomfortable, especially during the holidays. Falling asleep with unbuttoned pants and a bulging belly may not be the cutest sight. *reflecting to a particular Thanksgiving in 2012*
I wanted to start my Home for the Holidays series with a simple and casual look for Thanksgiving. This is great for all you sneaker lovers! It keeps the look fresh and festive so you’ll be Instagram ready with the least bit of effort. This striped dress is perfect for the occasion because it’s fitted above the waist allowing it to hug you in all of the right places. While the bottom is a bit more forgiving and ready to take in the food overload. Can you tell I’m ready for Thanksgiving?
Adding a pair of classic Converses keeps the look very casual, yet feminine at the same time. This is a style that I unexpectedly fell in love with earlier in the summer (which could also serve as a casual holiday look). Trench coats are always big for fall because of their timeless look. I went with a trench coat from Target (from a few years back) to keep the look chic and festive. You can also opt for a moto jacket which will look very stylish and edgy. It’s intriguing to know that switching out one piece for another can dramatically change its look. I recommend playing around with some of your coats to see what compliments the style you’re going for. Remember, your outerwear is just as important as whats underneath.
