Fall is officially here and I’m not complaining. As I’ve gotten older I’ve learned to appreciate the crisp cool weather as well as fall fashion. Layering has become one of my favorite ways to style outfits which means there are SO many ways to wear one piece. Today, I’ll be sharing how to layer your shirts for fall!
Last weekend the temperature started to drop and although I just wanted to throw on sweats I decided not to. I’ve been in a very funky place lately so I haven’t felt as motivated to put together looks. Hence the lack in style posts. But I know better than anyone else that getting dressed and conquering your day is one of the best ways to get through that phase. So I did.
Just remember-there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Since I still wanted to be casual I obviously went for an all black look. I can’t seem to stop wearing black lately. It’s a problem! I decided to break up the look by layering a shirt under this black camisole. I’ve seen this trend all over the place and decided to give it a try. I’m kind of loving it! I took one of my striped crop tops because it was very form fitting which is key for this trend. If you put two loose shirts on top of one another then you’re just going to look like you’re swimming in clothes. That’s never cute.
To spice up the look even more I added my metallic flats. I got these at H&M for $10!! Crazy, right? I’ve been in love with metallics lately and if you read my last post then you know this trend will be carrying over into next Spring/Summer. For a bit more of color I layered on my favorite olive green duster coat from W by Worth. This is one of my go-to layering pieces for the fall because you can layer underneath it or wear it by alone as a dress.
What current trends are you loving?
