You know that feeling when you close your eyes for a few seconds, but when you open them back up a couple of hours went by? Well, that’s how I feel about this year. Let alone this summer. Can it be? We’re already in August?!
We all don’t have the luxury of an endless closet-trust me, I wish I did. But what I find so exciting about not having one is being able to come up with different ways to wear the same pieces. It’s like putting together a puzzle and once it fits (to your own liking) then it becomes that much more exciting. Today, I’m sharing a little tip that requires basically no effort and you don’t have to spend a penny! Too good to be true? *haha*
It sounds too simple to even share as a how to, but what I find the hardest about reinventing pieces is that sometimes we overlook the simplicity of just tying it a different way. Tying up a button down shirt is probably one of my favorite ways to wear it in the summer. It sends that “crop top” vibe and you have full control over how much skin you want to expose (if any). Plus, this is a great way to start mixing your fall pieces with your summer ones. Hence giving you way more options…and who doesn’t love that!
As I realized August was quickly approaching I decided to make an End of Summer Bucket List. I usually find myself saying “Ugh, why didn’t I make time for this or for that” so now I have no excuses! I’m actually thinking about doing one for each month that way I start to conquer some of my fears and really start to enjoy more of what life has to offer! Sometimes it’s so easy to get wrapped up in our day to day, but it’s important to feed your soul new experiences and make your life as fulfilling as possible. Ya feel me? Some of the events on my list I’ve done, but I loved it so much that I want to do it again!
Let me know some of the things that you have on yours! And if you don’t have on then I encourage to make one. It really pushes you outside of your comfort zone and I think that’s the most important thing-don’t be afraid to try new things!
