And I’m back! *smiles*
I know it’s been a couple of days-okay, maybe more like a week *blushes*, but it’s been a bit hectic with a lot of planning for various events. Before I knew it we were already in the middle of April. How does that even happen?!
My birthday is coming up *eeekk* (April 20th) and this is the first time since I turned 25 that I’m actually excited for it. I’ll explain more on that during my birthday post, but in the mean time I’ve been having fun planning my weekend. I also had my best friend’s bridal shower this past weekend so there was a lot of running around and getting everything together. All in all everything has been going according to plan and who doesn’t love that!
So this whole t-shirt dress trend? Yea, I gave it a try. I got this one from Forever 21 since I had some store credit and figured it was worth a shot. Originally, I wanted to try it out with shorts but it’s nowhere near short weather here in NY. Who knows when we will be.
I decided to pair it with these new jeans that I got from YMI that I am o b s e s s e d with! The fit is perfect for us curvy girls because they hug those curves in allll the right places! Plus, I’m a huge fan of high-waisted jeans. Obviously because I have a high-waist, but also because I hate having to pull up my jeans every 5 seconds. Ya know that pants dance that every girl does? You know the one *laughs* Oh, and they make my butt look pretty damn good. It’s pretty much a win-win. I can’t wait to try some of their other jeans! Once I find a brand of jeans that I love then I pretty much try to get as many as I can. We all know how hard it could be to find the perfect pair!
This is a great spring outfit because it’s super casual and I’m all about that look lately. You can even throw a pair of Converses for an even more -laxed look.
Style tip: Tying the shirt in the front allows you to accentuate your curves so the shirt doesn’t make you seem boxy or look like the shirt is wearing you.
