Whoever said “I need a day between Saturday and Sunday” wasn’t lying!
The weekend seems to zip by especially on beautiful summer days-just me? And after the long, drawn out winter we had I’m just trying to focus on spending less time picking out an outfit and more time outside. Before you know it I’ll be packing on the layers and muddling through snow *insert crying emoji face* but for now let’s just focus on the present!
Getting dressed for the day usually starts with me playing dress up in my own closet. I tend to dress according to my mood, which most of the times can be very indecisive in turn leading to tantrums, frustrated outbursts, and even some tears. We’ve all been there, right? Please tell me I’m not the only one. Plus, now that we’re getting some consistent summer weather “ain’t nobody got time for that” *snaps fingers* Hence, the beauty of rompers! I’ll show you how to get ready in under 10 minutes!
The thing I love about wearing rompers is how effortless it makes getting dressed in the morning. Especially for someone like me. Plus, there are so many different styles that you can easily find one for most occasions. I recently got this one from Bellarte Clothing and I fell in love with it the moment I opened my package. The chiffon makes it a bit more dressy, which is perfect for brunch or any day event and the floral print adds the right amount of femininity. Making it a win-win in my book!
Style Tip: Add a belt to create a visual block between the top and bottom giving the look a bit more character. Plus, the belt will cinch your waist allowing your curves to show which is always a good thing!
To dress up the look I added these pair of nude platform pumps to elongate my legs. You know I’m all about that trick girl! You can opt for a colored heel for a more playful look OR sandals for a more casual look which is what I did on Saturday. I wore sandals during the day (see here) while we ran some errands and threw on these babies for dinner at night.
Hair is another thing that can be a tad bit time consuming. Luckily, me and my dry shampoo are good friends *wink* so all I did was spray some at the roots (be sure to rub it in) and pin the top section back with some bobby pins. Finish it with some hair spray and voila!
The best part? It took me about 10 minutes to get dressed and do my hair- and I still look put together and stylish!
Happy Tuesday!
