Well, the time has come. New Year’s Eve is tomorrow night (yikes).
Did you just have the realization that you were too busy Christmas shopping that you forgot to find yourself an outfit? Yea, me neither. No need to worry though-this look is easy to put together and it’s a classic. How could you go wrong with black and white?
This look was definitely a bit out of my comfort zone because of the sheer crop top. Normally, I would just add a bandeau underneath because I feel that it’s too revealing and/or raunchy. Revealing, yes. That’s the obvious. But I started to think about why I felt that way. I just always assumed that women with bigger breasts couldn’t (or maybe shouldn’t) wear that because it would look inapropriate. I just left that to the Carrie Bradshaw’s of the world. Until now.
The key to wearing a sheer crop top is to have the right bra underneath. You want to make sure it provides enough coverage so it doesn’t look raunchy. We want to go for sexy-not scandalous. Keep it classy ladies!
I decided to stay within the lace family with this Forever 21 skirt. I love how feminine it is and how it hugs your curves in all of the right places. It’s already a favorite of mine and I can’t wait to create some looks for spring! Yes, I’m keeping warm by thinking of spring.
This look is perfect for bringing in the New Year with a grown and sexy feel (and affordable!)! I also love that this look is out of my norm because that’s what this year has been all about; stepping outside of my comfort zone. My life has drastically changed within the past few months and I’m so grateful for everyone in my life and the opportunities I have been given. I’m excited to see what 2015 has in store!
