The 4th of July has changed it’s meaning for me some months ago. After Louie passed away I realized that there are so many women and men that have graciously sacrificed THEIR lives so that we can enjoy our freedom. Sure, I knew all of this beforehand but it really sunk in and I’ve tried to incorporate a small prayer for them everyday.
With that being said I wanted to share this cute outfit that incorporates some patriotic love that you can wear throughout summer. Yup! No reason to spend that money on a cute outfit and not wear it again, right?
I picked up these cute shorts from Target and I love how the pockets have the stripes and stars on the pockets. The American flag peeks out on the shorts and you can also adjust so they don’t stick out as much if you want to show a little less. I paired it with this striped off the shoulder top from Cotton On that I love! It’s super comfortable and works as a great basic!

Since, I’ve been able to find a few off the shoulder tops that I love I can’t seem to get enough. I want them all! They’re so fun, flirty, and easy which is why I think they’re a huge trend this summer. What do you think about all the off the shoulder love?
I’ve been spending a bunch of time with my nephew and niece since they’re visiting from Georgia. We spent the day at Garry’s house for a BBQ and the kids had a blast. Plus, it wouldn’t be a 4th of July without Garry’s burgers. Yummmmm.
