OOTD|4th of July

I’m really not sure how we’re already half way through the year! Isn’t that crazy?!

With 4th of July behind us, I decided to share what I wore. It was a day filled of delicious food (jerk chicken anyone?) and great company. Oh, and let’s not forget the fireworks! It’s my favorite part of summer.

I opted for a more subtle red, white & blue color combination, which honestly happened by accident. My inspiration was these shorts that I got at H&M years ago. They’re the perfect shade of royal blue so how could I resist? I mean, honestly! For me, I’m all about being comfortable at BBQ’s so I wanted to make sure that was my focus. All I did was throw on two white tank tops-yes, two because I don’t like my bra showing through unless it’s intentional-and voila! I was basically done until I realized I may need a jacket for the night time. Clearly, my white blazer was the best choice!

Now, the red part was completely accidental. We went to the mall earlier in the day and I came across this red bag at Forever 21. It just spoke to me! It was a beautiful structured bag in a beautiful deep shade of red. Not too bright and not too dark. Perfect! Plus, I don’t own any hand bags in that color scheme so I had to have it. And let’s just say it was the final touch!
