Spring Must Have|Duster Coat

70 degrees and sunny…yes, please!

If you’re on the east coast then you understand how badly we needed this beautiful day. For two reasons, 1-because it seemed like winter had become eternal and 2-we’re in the middle of April! We should have warm beautiful sunny days. And maybe because it’s my birthday month *teeth-clenching emoji* But, enough about the weather.

Girl, let me tell you how obsessed I am with this color palette! I can’t stop wearing it and trust me, I tried. Which can only prove to me that these colors are essential for your spring wardrobe!

It’s no secret that I like basic and solid pieces. I feel like they are so versatile and effortless and who doesn’t want that Katie Holmes effortless look? Show of hands? Right. I thought so.

Spring is a perfect time to break out your trench coats. I went for this collarless duster coat that I got at Forever 21 (yup-I had some more store credit) because it’s a dusty light pink and acts like a neutral. It’s also the piece that takes this look from casual to chic. Simple enough, right? It’s light enough for those warmer days and still keeps you snug during the cool evenings. It’s a spring must have! Let’s not forget these sunglasses. Can you believe they are only $10?! *winning*

Style Tip: Go for statement pieces in neutral colors that way they can be worn with a variety of looks. A statement piece doesn’t mean that it has to be outrageous or overwhelming. It should be within your comfort, but stand out enough to create a focal point for your look.

I basically have one more day to get everything finalized for my birthday weekend. Go figure, my list keeps growing. I can’t wait for you to see those looks!

Side note: Have you seen Furious 7? I’m a die hard Fast & Furious fan-since the beginning. So, like most girls my age-Paul Walker was my first celebrity crush. Yes, I sobbed through the whole movie/ending. I am extremely happy with how they ended it. What were your thoughts?
