After five days of 85 degree weather, constant sunshine, and a white sandy beach I am sad to say that I am back to reality. We arrived late Friday evening because of a flight delay due to the rain and thunderstorms in New York which is the reason that this post did not go up on Friday as promised (sorry!).
I wanted to share a spring outfit that could be easily worn to work and still be chic enough for dinner & drinks after. It’s actually very simple and you just need a few staple pieces.
I got this striped jersey dress from Forever 21 a few years back and I love how comfortable it is. The light gray is perfect for spring and I decided to play on the white stripes by adding my white blazer. Adding a blazer to any look can be so transformational and it’s definitely a staple piece for your closet. If you’re just starting out with blazers I would definitely start with two colors (black and white) and then take it from there.
Then I added this b e a u t i f u l statement necklace from H&M that I recently purchased (I believe in Soho) and I am obsessed! If you saw one of my more recent Instagram posts then you would understand that it’s not an understatement. Like blazers, statement necklaces are a must-have because they dress up any look (even a plain white tee!).
I wanted to add a pop of color to incorporate spring so I paired my outfit with this coral clutch. Secret: It’s actually an iPad case that I use as a clutch because I fell in love with the color and faux snakeskin print. Throw on a pair of nude pumps and voila! I was out the door and ready to start my day!
