Traveling more is definitely on my vision board for 2017. It’s something I always say that I want to do more, but never really plan out.
This year will be different.
If you’ve been following me on social media then you know that I went to California this past weekend for the We All Grow Summit. Yes-I got invited a second time, yay! The one thing I love about WAG in particular is the energy that ignites when all these fabulous, strong, motivated women are in one area. Trust me, it’s something worth experiencing.
I’ll be sharing my experience throughout the week, but I wanted to start with my travel outfit. Personally, my travel style is just as important as the rest of my looks because I want to be comfortable yet stylish. What you choose to wear tells the world a little bit of your story so I think it’s important to give it some extra thought. Does anyone else plan out their travel looks?
It’s important to always check your destination’s weather because that will dictate your options. I left last Wednesday and the weather in Cali was about 70 degrees so I made sure to go with some light weight pieces such as these joggers. The material was lighter and I’m obsessed with the color. They pretty much go with anything.
Since it was going to be warmer I opted for a cropped tank and layered it with my new (and very dope) oversized denim jacket. It was giving me all the 90’s vibes. I mean…how could you not love it? My travel look is all about comfort so I finish my look with my Stan Smith sneakers and my backpack. I’m able to carry my necessities and be hands-free. In my case…free enough so I can roll my carry-on and hold a million other things.
Now, if you’re on the curvy side like me and not sure how to feel about the whole over-sized look well then I’m here to help. Personally I can only wear one over-sized item so I balance it with a more fitting look. For this look I made sure to wear a crop top because it sits right at my waist. Therefore it’s accentuating my curves and doesn’t make me look like I’m wearing a big ol’ garbage bag.
I wish I could go back to last week. Ugh. Where should we go next?
