Remember when we had wedding week here on Love, Grey Skies?
Well today I wanted to share my favorite look thus far! And since we’re knee-deep in wedding season I figured it was the perfect time to share. It’s the perfect combination of feminine, flirty, and chic. Oh and let’s not forget comfortable. Always a bonus!
H&M is one of my go-to stores because I can always find trendy and classic pieces-all in one store. I came across this white lace floral skirt (look familiar?) and I knew that I had to have it. It had all my favorite elements. Clearly a no-brainer. I love the way that it flows and how it hugs my waist.
Style Tip: When shopping for flowing skirts make sure that they accentuate and define your waist so it doesn’t swallow you. With every outfit, you want to show your figure and accentuate your favorite parts. It will allow you to wear your outfit and not let the outfit wear you.
When I was looking for the top I made sure to look for pieces that were very fitting and feminine. I had looked at some crop tops but they were all too short and definitely not wedding appropriate. Or so I thought! I came across this light pink high-neck crop top that had tiny pink hearts on it. How cute! It was just long enough for me to tuck into the skirt (and still be able to move) without it popping on and becoming an outfit disaster. Did I mention I found this all on the day of the wedding?! Crazy, I know.
You would think I would have stopped there, right? *haha* Nope! As I was walking through the accessory section (not like I need anymore) I stumbled-literally-into these shoes. They were so simple and delicate, but I just fell in love with them. I don’t own anything like them so I knew that they would be a great addition to my collection and boy was I right! They make me feel very Carrie Bradshaw-ish! *okay emoji*
In addition to this being a great wedding guest outfit it’s also a great outfit in general! It’s perfect for a summer date night, brunch with your girlfriends and even work (as long as it’s not so corporate based)! Trust me, you’ll be seeing a lot more of this skirt!
