It’s starting to FINALLY feel like Spring here in New York. And you know what that means; more skin, less layers. There’s something about the combination of the sun, warmer weather, and clothing options that just puts me in a great mood (all the time) so I really can’t complain.
Plus, my birthday is on Thursday so that’s always a bonus reason to be happy.
As the years go on I love being able to watch my style evolve. It’s like all the pieces of my life that shape me translate through my wardrobe and it’s pretty amazing being able to see that take place. The younger version of me wasn’t really into wearing skirts because I’ve never really been too fond of my legs. I’m short and curvy so in the fashion realm it was unheard of wearing midi skirts for my specific body type. But that’s the beauty of getting older- you start to care less about what the “norms” are and focus on making yourself happy and that means wearing whatever you want.
This wrap skirt from the Who What Wear Collection at Target is literally perfection. I love how it fits and even more importantly how it makes me feel. Normally I wouldn’t go for something as printed but I’m trying to force myself outside of my comfort zone and this was the piece to help me do so. There are two split panels on the skirt which seem to be my favorite part because I feel like it gives that subtle hint of sexiness which I’m all about.
Don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone. Great things happen.
To keep the look feeling more like myself I decided to pair the wrap skirt with this beautiful, beautiful bell sleeve top. I’m literally obsessed with the top because of the sleeves. It adds so much flair to any look and it can be worn with jeans, shorts, skirts-whatever you want. To top it off I added this mini bag which I love because of the details. It’s a neutral so it pretty much goes with anything so it makes the perfect bag when you don’t want to carry too many things.
I wore this on Easter and got so many compliments. It was so good that I had to share it with you because that’s what friends are for. Right?!
Hope you’re having an amazing Monday!
