It feels so good to be back home, but I’m still missing Cali! The We All Grow Summit was AMAZING-seriously, the best Latina blogger conference. I met so many inspirational and motivated woman that I came home feeling like I could take over the world. Hey, why not?
I arrived to LAX on Wednesday and I flew JetBlue. It’s one of my favorite airlines because it’s roomy and the service is impeccable. I’m very BIG on customer service. I used to work for Apple so it’s nice when other companies have a standard as well. Normally we rent a car but this time I just Uber-ed to the hotel. It was only $30 to the hotel in Long Beach-so not bad at all. The conference was being held at Hotel Maya in Long Beach, California and I l o v e d it! It had a mixture of Moroccan and Spanish decor theme. Plus, it was right by the water (literally). The best thing about it? They give you a warm chocolate chip cookie when you check-in!! How great is that?
Oh and the Palm trees! I’m obsessed, but probably because we don’t have any here in New York. I find them so calming so I can literally just sit outside and stare at them.
Later that day I ate in the hotel. I made it just in time for happy hour *yay* and this Argentinian Churrasco was so freakin’ delicious. I was starving so they were gone in a matter of minutes. I may or may not have ordered a side of Mac & Cheese afterwards *eekk*. Our first official day started with a field trip. I was lucky enough to go with VisionWorks and Transitions Lenses to meet Coco & Breezy. They were so genuine and down to Earth which is so refreshing. A lot of times you meet people who are guarded or can come off as full of themselves, but these lovely ladies were not. I was able to take away some great things from our conversation, but two things stuck out to me. “Don’t let fear, interfere” and to change your mindset into a positive one.
Those spoke to me because one of the biggest things that stops me from being great is the fear of failing. So I’m throwing that out the window and I’m trying to find the positive in everything. It’s hard, but hopefully with some work I can make it an everyday thing!
They shared their story with us and even styled us for a photo shoot. How cool, right?
Here’s a behind the scenes look into my photo shoot. I’m so excited to see the photos! We had so much fun and clearly I was feeling myself *laughs* Insert Bey & Nicki
We had lunch at Gracias Madre in Hollywood (I think-don’t quote me), but it was so yummy that I can’t wait to go back. It’s an all vegan restaurant so I was a little skeptical that I would find something I would like, but girrlll let me tell you! I had a mushroom taco-and I HATE mushrooms-but it was so flavorful and creamy. Ugh, my mouth just starting watering.

We ended the night with a cocktail party hosted by Hampton by Hilton which was so much fun. The music was great and we spent the night meeting other wonderful woman and laughing. Lots of laughing.
I’m so excited to share the rest of my trip so be sure to stay tuned!
