What’s one of my favorite things to do while on vacation? Shopping, of course! It’s very exciting to do shopping while in another state (especially country) because it’s intriguing to see what products are popular and how they compare to your hometown.
I got back from Georgia on Tuesday and I finally had a chance to unpack and jump right into the craziness of New York Fashion Week (coming soon!).
First stop-Ulta! While I was unpacking at my sister’s I realized that I stuffed all my makeup and brushes into one bag. I quickly learned how much of a pain it was to sort through to find a brush/product that I needed so I decided to head to Ulta for some new cases. I found these adorable Trina cosmetic bags and I immediately fell in love with the gold and black polkadots. So chic!
I also picked up the L’oreal Revitalift Miracle Blur Eye treatment because I’ve been experiencing a lot of dryness under my eye, which has been making my concealer cake up so I’m hoping this will be good to prime.
Lastly, I got the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Genius Kit since they were sold out in my shade of the Brow Whiz pencil. This is the powder alternative and it comes with the brush and brow gel, so why not…right? The woman who checked me out was super sweet and she threw in a leftover giveaway which was the Anastasia Lash Genius, Brow Gel, and lipgloss (which I gave to my sister).
While at Walgreens I picked up the L’oreal Total Repair 5 shampoo and conditioner because I wanted something new to try. I love switching out shampoo and conditioners because it keeps my hair feeling fresh and I feel like it reduces the amount of buildup on my hair.
I also got Sally Hansen’s Gel Cuticle Remover so I could easily do my at-home manicures since I mostly do them myself. It makes going to the salon more of a treat!
I finally found some of the shades that I wanted from Maybelline’s Colorsensational “The Buffs” Collection! I got four and I’m still on the hunt for three more!
I was in the dollar section at Target (loveee that section!) and found these cute Valentine’s Day mugs! I thought they were adorable for his & hers and were only $3! They are a great addition to any Valentine’s Day gift.
I also found these soft pink fuzzy socks, which I love wearing around the house on the weekends. They have become such a necessity this winter (is spring even close?!). Guess how much? Yup-$3 for two pairs! I want to go back and get the pink and red striped ones too!
Since it is the month of love, I got this gray tee with a big black heart printed on the front. So adorable! It was in the sleep section, but I think it’s a perfect tee for some jeans, boots, and a beanie to run some errands.
While I was in the beauty section of the Super Target I found another polkadot cosmetic bag, which I had to have because it was a) adorable and b) long enough to fit my brushes while traveling.
I’ve been on the hunt for a matte top coat because my current polish (OPI’s Pink-ing of You) is a bit streaky and requires me to add three coats in order for it smooth out. I finally found one in the N.Y.C section for $2! I added the matte top coat over my first coat of pink and followed up with a second coat and voila!
I’ve only heard great things about the aromatherapy and spa products at Bath & Body Works so it was a no-brainer when we walked in and they were having a sale! I was originally going in to pick up some candles, but sadly they didn’t have the $2 for $25 promotion so I opted for these. A good amount of their Aromatherapy products were on sale for $8! Originally priced from $13-$15.
I picked up the sleep body lotion in lavender vanilla which comes in a pretty glass bottle. I thought it would be great to keep on my nightstand so I can add some moisture to my hands and body right before bed and it smells a m a z i n g!
I also got the stress relief body cream, in eucalyptus spearmint which has a thicker consistency than the body lotion. This smells great and I can throw the tube in my bag for those long work days!
Energy is something that I definitely need more of so I thought it would be helpful to get the body wash in orange ginger. Hopefully, it adds a little zing to my extra-sleepy mornings.
One of the cashiers was also raving about their Spa Blue products so I figured I would try out their 60-second manicure hand scrub so I can give myself the perfect at-home mani! It also smells beautiful and leaves my hands feeling super soft! Now, I wish I would have stocked up on more of these products!
We were in Atlantic Station and immediately fell in love with the area because it had a bunch of shops and everything was so nice and cute. We headed into H&M and I knew it would be impossible to leave empty handed.
I picked up this army green coat with a fur hood and the lining is super soft! The best part? It was on sale for $30! How could I not? I needed something a little warmer since New York winters just got that much colder.
I also found this white tank top that has a skull outlined in flowers. I thought it was so cute and edgy. It would go great paired with a black blazer and jeans or alone with some shorts for summer.
We also visited The Mall of Georgia and I couldn’t resist going into another H&M (obsessed much?). I fell in love with their floral prints and it got me that more excited for spring!
I thought these pieces would be great to transition into spring since they are long sleeved. The black floral is a crop top, which is just fun and flirty when paired with a high-waisted skirt. I adore this N 9 top because of the soft pink and bold print. It would go great with black leather leggings (which I’ve been on the hunt for). And lastly, I fell head over heels with this light gray floral sweater. I’ve had a thing for sweaters lately and I think it would go great paired with white jeans a nude pumps!
Let me know if you’ve tested out any of the products mentioned. I would love to know your thoughts! Hope you’re enjoying your weekend!
